Vijiay Singh Design Philosphy

The Vijay Singh Designed golf course at Natadola Marine Resort takes full advantage of the excellent natural topography, vegetation, and ocean views that will make the golf course exceptionally beautiful and unique, with 7 holes playing down to and along the ocean's edge.

The golf course will be challenging, but upwards of 5 tee boxes and each hole, generous landing areas, larger than average greens and open green fronts of many holes makes the course enjoyable for resort golfers. For better players who want to play all 7,400 yards from the back tees, they will be challenged in a manner that only Vijay can imagine.

As Vijay stated on his recent visit to Natadola, he has designed the golf course to be a difficult one but playable at the same time.

Vijay’s design style uses numerous relatively small bunkers that are carefully integrated into the landscape, giving the course a very natural look without excessive disturbance, and he favours working with the existing natural topography and vegetation rather than “creating” a new look for the course.

Vijay has also designed the driving range and short-game practice facility at Natadola to be entirely state-of-the-art. Recognized around the world for his tireless work ethic and time spent practicing on his game, these facilities will allow guests and residents to practice all facets of their game in a setting that any Tour professional would appreciate.
