Road Leading to Natadola |
The main infrastructures to be built are the roads
with the drainage pipes and culverts, the car parks,
the water supply and sewage treatment, the power and
multi-media networks and social/leisure facilities
as bride trails, rugby fields, tennis courts, an equestrian
centre, a pontoon for boat access and a marina. The
major components of these infrastructure works will
be completed on 2008.
The main access road from the Queens Road to the
Project area was completed on 2005. That road will
be extended to the Natadola Beach and the Tuva Village
on 2007. The next main public roads will be the access
(and bridge) to the Navo Island and to the

Sanasana
Village. Access roads to and inside the numerous residential
areas will be built in accordance with their developments
schedule. A major car park (300 cars and 50 buses)
will be built at the entrance of the development in
order to restrict the car circulation within the public
areas. These works and associated landscaping will
be prepared in accordance with the Design Guidelines.
A 3,000 m3 water reservoir will be soon built by
the PWD for the initial stage of the development and
the works for the fresh water distribution network
will start on 2007. A sewage treatment plant will
be built on 2007 and will be then extended after 2010.

From the FEA Maro Road substation along Queens Road,
a 33 KV connection will be set up to the Natadola
substation which will be built on 2007. Distribution
to the project development areas will be made by underground
cable ring networks. A fibre optic main line will
be laid along the Maro Road to the Telecom Maintenance
Building close to the Sanasana village and a fibre
optic network will be developed from 2007 onwards
in accordance with the requirements of the overall
project development.
