Tuva Village Courtyard

The Heart of Natadola

This proposed commercial and community core will be sited east of the Natadola Beach and will front Tuva River. It will be designed as an activity centre for the NMR and will incorporate commercial activities that would serve the day-to-day needs of the resort’s residents and visitors. Its location close to the beach and the Tuva River means that it will partly be enclosed by attractive natural water features. It is expected that some of the centre’s architecture, in terms of its vertical built form, would be visible from the Maro Road approach to the NMR.

Tuva Village Facilities

Whilst Tuva Lagoon Centre could help to establish a distinct architectural and design theme for the NMR, the character of the site is different from elsewhere in the resort and, consequently, there should be a design style that also reflects the uniqueness of this particular location.

It is envisaged that Tuva Lagoon Centre would comprise a retail, leisure and entertainment precinct that would include a variety of shops and restaurants, a village market area, a cultural entertainment facility and large meeting space. In addition to these uses it is important to provide some residential accommodation both adjacent to and within the centre, to support both the vitality and the viability of this commercial core. It is also proposed that facilities such as health care, tourist information and a local community office be located here. There will also be a public square that will front Natadola Beach which would provide a visual and physical link between the beachfront and Tuva Lagoon Centre.

Artisitic Rendering of Tuva Village

Restricted vehicle access will be permitted for visitors who can park just minutes away from the village and hop on the Bula Bus to complete their journey to Tuva Village. Or you can use the railway link that will be available.

Tuva Village Centre will be the heart of the Natadola Marine Resort, set on some 20 acres of land looking out on Tuva and Natadola Bays. Tuva Village will be a place that’s open to all – tourists and locals – with the best apartments, restaurants and retailers around.

Situated right next to the InterContinental Resort Fiji, which is under construction, Tuva Village will be a community unlike any other, with access to Natadola Beach, considered one of the world’s most spectacular.

Tuva Village will be a place to meet friends to have a coffee, shop, relax. The village’s facilities will be available for both visitors and Natadola occupants.

Still in the development design stage, Tuva Village will tentatively have three restaurant spaces, three retail spaces and about 40 apartments.
