The Jewel in the Crown

Four Seasons Resort Site Plan (Model) |
The Navo Island Resort will be built on this beautiful island that is enclosed by Natadola Bay, the reef and a small lagoon facing the mainland beach. Navo Island will be developed as a retreat style five-star luxury resort under the Four Seasons brand and it will accommodate100 villas.
Guest Bure |
The island has a number of small beaches and good
tree cover and would therefore be well-suited as a quiet luxury resort. Navo Island is separated from the mainland by an attractive and secluded lagoon and at its closest point is about 50 metres away from the mainland beach.
Guest Bure Plan |
Access to the island will be from the south via a 160-metre cause-way. The island is also classified as a location of archaeological importance and the developers have commissioned several environmental impact reports to chart the best way around the traditional heritage sites on the island.
Design Philosophy
Guest Bures |
Grounds Kent Architects consists of two fully staffed offices, one located in Fremantle, Western Australia and the other in Denpasar, Bali. Each office employs architects, draftsmen, office management and administration staff, CAD drafting and associated support facilities.
Four Seasons Beach Facilities |
To ensure a continuity of senior representation, Jack and Martin spend time in both offices. Grounds Kent is well known for the design of the Four Seasons resort, a five start villa style project in Jimbaran Bay, Bali, which set a new standard in romantic luxury for resorts in the area.
Spa & Fitness Facilities |
For the past 15 years the majority of Grounds Kent Architects work has been in the Resort Hotel and related Resort Residential area of design. The Fremantle practice has recently completed or is currently involved in such projects as the Bunker Bay Resort, Balé Port Douglas, Novotel Bali Villas and Spa, Royal Resort Koh Samui, Watershed Winery, Taunovo Bay Resort Fiji, Clearwater Bay Barbados and various other substantial projects.
|
Lobby, Sunset Bar & Restaurant |
Grounds Kent’s involvement of local tradespeople and use of local materials is reflected in everything they do. Projects in Bali have helped shape the firm’s philosophy while developing its reputation for innovation and attention to detail.
Navo Island |
For Natadola and Navo Island Specifically we have maintained this philosophy. The use of village style architecture, local materials and building forms will retain the island romance desired by 5 star resort patrons. Respect for the heritage value of Navo Island to the local villages and its spirit of place is a fundamental aspect of our design approach.
