In hindsight, tourism development leaders are attempting to
right the ills of the past in taking environmental issues to
account and preserving beaches as they are when they first move
in.
The Natadola Project developers have the added responsibility
to keep and protect this breathtaking asset in the Natadola
beach as she was found.
In accordance to the EIA, provided in 2005, Natadola project
has been taking care of this environmental issue by implementing
a proper Beach Management Plan.

At this time of the project the Environmental Beach Management
Plan already start in coordination with the Ministry of Environment.
The first action was to maintain the shape of the beach and
implemented an erosion control plan. Today a team of beach rangers,
employed from the nearby community, are trained to inform the
public regarding the environmental regulation given by the Ministry
of Environment.

These regulations will give a chance to the coastal vegetation
to be stronger and become a natural net to maintain the sand.
This erosion control follows simple rules but is the only way
to preserve this beautiful beach. That’s why the public
is invited to help the Ministry of Environment by following
these advices.
